School Pictures

Today is school picture day! I love those cheesy photos. My family doesn't understand why I pay for professional pictures with a family photographer and buy the school ones. Why? Because every child needs those school pictures to look back and laugh/cringe at!

This year, I ordered the beautiful Ellen dress from Persnickety . I was so excited! The retro style is totally Lu and the colors would look phenom on her.
Then stupid me didn't have her try it on until the night before pictures! Really. So stupid. It was too small! I was shocked. I ordered a 7 which she's typically a 6/7 (so I was actually worried it would be too big). It was so tight across the chest. You could see it being pulled under her arms so it was a no-go.

My second choice was the Breezy top from Matilda Jane with a pink tutu skirt. But I was just not feeling it.
Ultimately I pulled this sweet little smocked dress I bought on clearance at the beginning of summer from Smocked A Lot.
Even my sister was surprised by my choice.
She looked darling and she's all about animals, especially sea creatures so she was totally on board.

Here are the outfits she's worn in school picture pasts.

1st Grade- Matilda Jane Gloria Bubblegum

Kindergarten - Matilda Jane Layla Lace

Pre-K- Persnickety
